Azerbaijan wins 2583 medals in international competitions during last five years

Azerbaijani sportsmen have gained 2583 medals in various international competitions in the last five years, including 927 gold, 709 silver and 947 bronze medals.

The State Statistics Committee reported that 675 medals have been grabbed in international tournaments in Olympic disciplines last year and 85 of them came from women.

Azeri athletes snatched 182 medals in world championships, 97 in European championships and 83 medals in World Cup competitions.
