Azerbaijani chess players draw their first matches

Yesterday, the 1/4 finals of Candidates Matches for the chess crown kicked off in Kazan. 

Azerbaijani grandmaster Teymur Rajabov drew the match with former Russian world champion Vladimir Kramnik. Another Azerbaijani chess player Mammadyarov drew with Boris Gelfand.

The second matches of the tournament will be held today.
