Baku to host republic Sayokan tournament

On March 8, the sport complex of Binagadhi district of Baku will host a republic sayokan tournament dedicated to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The Azerbaijani sayokan center said that the tournament will bring together teams from several Baku districts which include Binagadhi, Surakhani, Yasamal, Narimanov, Sabunchu, as well as Sumgait, Khachmaz, Beylagan, Gubadli, Shusha, Agjabadi, Agdam and Fizuli.

According to president of the center Vasif Namazov, sayokan is the wealth of the Turkish nations. It includes many national elements. Therefore it can contribute to increasing patriotic fever amongst youth.
