Azeri grandmaster 9th in FIDE rankings

World Chess Federation, FIDE, has announced its latest top ten list, ranking Azerbaijan`s Shahriyar Mammadyarov 9th with 2772 points.

Other Azeri grandmasters Vugar Hashimov and Teymur Rajabov are 11th and 12th in the list respectively. Indian Viswanathan Anand tops the FIDE rankings with 2817 points, followed by Magnus Carlsen.
