Azerbaijani gymnasts win medals at the international tournament

Baku Gymnastics School's eight-year-old alumni Vafa Hasanzade won the silver at the tournament, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation told Trend. The organizers were so much charmed by her that they have awarded Hasanzade the title of "Miss Grace" of the tournament.

Nine-year-old Ilahi Mammadova and twelve-year-old Nilufar Niftaliyeva won bronze medals. Other Azerbaijani gymnasts Albina Aliyeva and Sabina Hummatova took the fourth and fifth places.

Azerbaijani jumper Hafiz Rzayev performed at the Bondarev Cup in tumbling and acrobatic gymnastics held in Minsk. In the final he performed the triple somersault twice, but was inaccurate when landing and eventually became the fifth.

Junior women's pairs - acrobats Aynur Huseynov - Narmin Ramazanova become the fifth, but the more experienced duo Afag Maharramli - Parizad Guliyeva was the eighth.

Elvin Agadadayev, who month ago defended the title of absolute national champion in gymnastics, won the Baku championship. He left behind Ugur Khalilbeyli and Rashad Jafarli, who became second and third , respectively.

Mirvagif Bagirov became the first among the candidates for the Master of Sports and Emil Seyidov - among the first-class gymnast.
