Azerbaijani judo fighter claims 5th place in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

In weight category of 81 kg, Elkhan Rajabli beat Pole Lukas Blaha, Antonio Ciano of Italy, but lost to German Sven Mareshah in the quarterfinals and shared 5th to 8th places with Francesco Bruyere (Italy), Travis Stevens (USA) and Tomislav Marizhanovich (Croatia).

Renat Mirzaliyev (73 kg) outpowered Turkish Omer Yamana at the start, but then lost to Dex Elmontu from Holland.

In women's event, Ramila Yusubov (63 kg) lost to Austrian Hilde Drexler in the first battle and stayed out of the competition.
