Azerbaijani athlete to vie for $50,000 in Intercontinental Eurasia Marathon

Azerbaijani runner Tilahun Aliyev will participate in 32nd Intercontinental Eurasia Marathon to be held in Istanbul on October 17. The winners of the marathon from men and women will receive $50,000 each.

The best stayers in the semifinal (15 km) and wheelchair users will also be awarded. Three Azerbaijani athletes became the winners at last year's marathon.

Mare Ibrahimova was the best at a distance of 15 km and Layesh Abdullayeva and Tilahun Aliyev became silver medalists at 50 km distance.
