Azerbaijan's billiard champion determined

The final third round of the Azerbaijan’s “Free Pyramid” championship, one of the varieties of Russian billiard, took place in country’s Billiard Federation. Niyazi Khalafov, Vasif Mammadov and Aqshin Alasgarov won the championship, chief coach of Azerbaijan’s national team Firuddin Alasgarov said.

However, it was Aqshin Alasgarov who claimed the title of absolute champion of all rounds of championship with 21 points. Vasif Mammadov won silver medal with 15 points and Niyazi Khalafov and Tofiq Guliyevg won bronze with 11 points each. The member of Azerbaijan’s national team into world and European championship will be selected based on the championship results.
