Azerbaijan names squad for European Judo Championship

Azerbaijan's judo team has announced the names of the fighters who will compete in the European championship. Azerbaijan will send 8 judo fighters to the championship slated for next weekend in Sofia, Bulgaria.

In the men's event Azerbaijan will be represented by Elsavar Sadıgzade (55 kg), Vugar Shirinly (60 kg), Rustam Orujov (66 kg), Sarkhxan Ahmadov (73 kg), Tural Safguliyev (81 kg), Shahin Gahramanov (90 kg) and Farid Babayev (over 100 kg). In the women`s event Azerbaijan's hopes will be placed upon Khanim Huseynova weighing in at 57 kg.
