Azerbaijan wins 5th gold at Youth Olympic Games - UPDATE

Azerbaijan captured 5th gold at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games. The next gold's winner is wrestler in freestyle Ali Mahammadabirov (100 kg), who defeated the Cuban Abraham de Jesús Konedo Ruanoin in the finals.

Azerbaijan has won a fourth gold at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games. Azerbaijani wrestler Nijat Rahimov has brought the next gold to Azerbaijan gaining 295 kg in snatch.

Today Azerbaijan has a chance to win two more gold medals - freestyle wrestler Kanan Guliyev (54 kg) in the final will meet with Japan's athlete Yuki Takahashi, and wrestler Ali Mahammadabirov (100 kg) in the final fight will meet with the Cuban Abraham de Jesús Konedo Ruano.

Azerbaijani wrestlers Murad Bazarov and Elman Mukhtarov won gold medals on the first day of the Youth Olympic Games. Azerbaijani wrestler Patimat Bagomedova brought the third medal to Azerbaijan. The first Summer Youth Olympic Games are held from Aug.14 to 26, 2010. Over 3,500 athletes on 29 sports compete in Singapore.
