Azerbaijani chess player Safarli among leaders at Spain tournament

Azerbaijani chess player Eltaj Safarli drew with Armenian rival Grant Mekumian at the Villa de Benasque tournament, Spain.
He now shares 2-4th places with 7 points.

Safarli will face Russian grandmaster Vladimir Burmakin in the decisive game.

The Swiss system tournament brings together 505 players of whom 30 are grandmasters.
