National weightlifter clams three medals at European Championships

Azerbaijani weightlifter Ravin Almammadov (81kg) has won a gold medal at European Junior and U23 Championships in Poland, Azernews reports. The weightlifter lifted 151kg in the snatch event.

Almammadov also claimed a silver medal after lifting 187kg in the clean and jerk event.

He lifted a total of 338kg (151+187) to secure his second silver medal of the championships.

Additionally, Gasim Ismayilov (67kg) earned a bronze medal in the competition.

The European Junior and U23 Championships is underway in Raszyn, Poland from October 26 to November 3, 2024.
