Special discount campaign for Azerbaijan Grand Prix ticketholders

Nearly 50 companies, most of them located nearby Baku City Circuit, will offer special discount up to 20 % for 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix ticketholders.
On May 30, memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Baku City Circuit Operations Company (BCC) and Alliance for Advancement of Tourism and Cuisine (AATC) within “Positive impact of Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix on tourism development” project was signed.
According to the memorandum, each participating company agrees to offer special discounts for 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix ticketholders by signing bilateral contract with AATC.
The main purpose of the project is to help private sector develop in Azerbaijan by creating effective financial opportunities for local businesses, including small and medium-sized enterprises.
Nigar Arpadarai, BCC’s Head of Marketing and Communications Department, noted that this discount campaign would be beneficial for everyone: “There is no doubt that this campaign will be helpful for both spectators and entrepreneurs. On race weekend, hundreds of Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix spectators will visit the places where special discounts are available and this, in turn, will create beneficial opportunities for participating companies. It will result in benefits for all”.
Kamala Mammadova, Head of AATC, said she believed this project would be long-lasting: “There is a considerable increase in the number of tourists coming to the country. Those who used to travel to European countries for recreational reasons before prefer Azerbaijan now. On the eve of Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix We took this opportunity and proposed this project to help tourism develop in the country. Dozens of companies joined the campaign in a very short period of time. We believe this interest will grow and the project will be long-lasting”.
The discount campaign will start on June 1 and last until July 15, 2017. BCC will provide the participating companies with special discount stickers to be placed at the entrance of the company buildings.
It is worthy to note that 46 companies have already joined the project. Among them are national, European, Asian and Turkish restaurants, national souvenir, housewares and jewelry shops, beauty salons, spa centers, wine houses, clinics, hotels and other specialized businesses.
