New Zealand gymnastics coach praises conditions in Baku

The conditions created in Baku for trainings are amazing, New Zealand coach in rhythmic gymnastics Marnie Strener told Trend Nov. 30.

There are so many carpets for training here and the conditions are amazing, she said.

Strener noted that together with her gymnasts she is planning to come to Baku for the FIG World Cup series in Rhythmic Gymnastics, to be held April 28-30, 2017.

The gymnastics coach said this is her second visit to Baku and the city has positively changed since her first visit.

The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) will organize seven international gymnastics events in Baku in the first five months of 2017.

During the 2017-2020 Olympic Cycle, Baku will for the first time host the FIG Intercontinental Judges' Courses in Rhythmic Gymnastics on January 17-21. It will be followed by the FIG International Judges’ Courses in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Baku on January 26-30, this time in English.

Right after the judges’ courses, spectators in Baku, as it was in 2016, will have a chance to watch the FIG World Cup series, AGF Trophy competitions in three gymnastics disciplines (Trampoline Gymnastics – February 18-19, Artistic Gymnastics – March 16-19 and Rhythmic Gymnastics – April 28-30) with participation of famous gymnasts.
