Young champion with strong will

Azerbaijan is proud of its sporting victories. With more and more young athletes achieving international recognition, coaches certainly seem to have their pick of young talents participating in their programs.  

This time, national kickboxer Tural Alakbarli became the world champion in Italy, Goal.az reported.

Azerbaijan’s six-years-old fighter defeated his Dutch opponent and brought victory to his country.

His coaches say that Tural, a member Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation and ZZ Fight club, is a strong-willed fighter.

"Despite his young age, Tural  is very confident and responsible. Furthermore, he demonstrates very strong interest in sports,” his coach, the world champion Zaur Yusifov said.

" Tural serves as an example to his peers. A great future lies before him", he added.
