Day 2 winners for Joint Azerbaijan Championships in gymnastics Day 2 named

Results of the second day of the Joint Azerbaijan Championships among Age Categories in Artistic and Acrobatic Gymnastics were announced on December 4.

The gymnasts representing Baku Gymnastics School, “Netchi” and “Ojag Sport” club competed in the all-around competition at the women's artistic gymnastics.

In the competition among athletes born in 2003-2005, representative of Baku Gymnastics School Samira Gahramanova took the first place, while Milana Minakovskaya (“Ojag” club) ranked the second and Valeriya Shulyayeva (Baku Gymnastics School) the third.

The competition of gymnasts born in 2006-2007 ended with the victory of Nazenin Teymurova (“Ojag” club ). The second place went to Aliya Rustamova (“Ojag”) and the third place to Valeriya Shulayeva (Baku Gymnastics School.)

In the competition among acrobats born in 2008-2009 the whole podium went to the representatives of the “Ojag" sports club including Narmin Abdullayeva, Denise Aliyev and Leyla Zamanova.

In the beginners competitions held between athletes born in 2008-2010 Milan Aliyev (Baku Gymnastics School) won the gold. Duygu Medjidzade (“Ojag" club) took the silver and Esmeralda Hasanova (Baku Gymnastics School) claimed the bronze.

Tomorrow, the championships will see the last day, gathering male acrobats born in 1998-2000, 2001-2002, 2003-2004, 2005-2006 and 2007-2008 will compete for the title.

The three-day competition brings together 62 athletes from different national gymnastic schools. All the competitions start at 12:00.
