National Paralympians shine in Dubai

The 2015 IPC Athletics Grand Prix FAZAA International Athletics Competition is taking place in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates from February 20 to 27.

Azerbaijani Paralympians have claimed a set of medals in the competition.

Huseyn Hasanov won gold in the long jump. Discuss thrower Samir Nabiyev took silver, while Solmaz Safarova grabbed bronze in the women`s shot put.

The event has taken place every year since 2009, and since its initiation has seen an increase in number of participants and the level of competition.
