National junior swimmers shine in Serbia

Azerbaijan’s national team ranked the first at the Junior Open Water Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia on November 29-30.

The national team became the winner on the synchronized swimming.

Azerbaijani women swimmers occupied the whole podium in the mandatory program from the first to the third places.

The sportsmen also took the first and second places in solo programs, while they gained the gold medal in the duet.

Earlier in November, Azerbaijani junior team successfully participated in the FINA World Junior Open Water Championships, which was held in Hungary.

Azerbaijani duo of Ekaterina Valiulinova and Tatyana Nikitina took the first place in the competition.

In solo performances, Ekaterina Valiulina became the second, while another national sportsman Anastasiya Shashmurina placed the third.
