Azerbaijani judo fighters win 2 medals at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Azerbaijani judo fighters have today claimed two medals on the first day of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Nijat Shikhlizade weighing in at 66kg grabbed silver after beating Slovenian, British and Spanish rivals.

Orkhan Safarov at 60kg claimed bronze thanks to victories over fighters from Algeria, Brazil and Germany.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix brings together 236 judo fighters from 35 countries.
