Azerbaijan secures silver medal in weightlifting at Islamic Solidarity Games

Afgan Bayramov won weightlifting silver for Azerbaijan in the 77kg section with a score of 320kg (138kg in clean and jerk and 182kg in snatch) at the 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games in Palembang, Indonesia.

Another Azerbaijani weightlifter Namig Jalilov weighing in at 85kg lifted a total of 328kg (151kg in clean and jerk and 177kg in snatch) to win bronze medal.
Azerbaijan ranks sixth with 11 medals.
