Galatasaray to 'hellcome' Real and Juventus in CL

30 August 2013 [09:50] - TODAY.AZ
Turkish champion Galatasaray has been paired off with Real Madrid, Juventus and Copenhagen in Champions League group B, following the draw in Monaco on Aug. 29.

Galatasaray was drawn from the third pot.

The Istanbul side will be looking to repeat last season's run, when it was eliminated by Real Madrid at the quarter final stage. In the second leg of that tie, Galatasaray had earned a 3-2 victory against "Merengues" in Istanbul, after losing the first leg 2-0 in the Spanish capital.

This season will mark Galatasaray's 12th Champions League campaign.

In the other groups, seven-times champions AC Milan, knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona in the last two seasons, will face once again the Catalans in the Group H alongside Ajax Amsterdam and Celtic

Defending champions Bayern Munich will face CSKA Moscow, Manchester City and Viktoria Plzen in Group D.

Group F was pitted Arsenal against Olympique Marseille, last year's runners-up Borussia Dortmund and Napoli.

Austria Vienna, the only debutants in the draw, were placed in Group G along with former champions Porto, Atletico Madrid and Zenit St Petersburg.
