Azerbaijani judo fighters to vie for world medals

Azerbaijani judo fighters will compete in the world championship starting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on August 26.

The national squad includes Orkhan Safarov and Ilgar Mushkiyev weighing in at 60kg, Nijat Shikhalizade at 66kg, Rustam Orujov at 73kg, Tural Safguliyev at 81kg, Shahin Gahramanov at 90kg, Elkhan Mammadov and Elmar Gasimov at 100kg.

In the women`s event, Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on Kifayat Gasimova weighing in at 57kg.
