Barca's 11 to be on Neymar's back

Barcelona chose an original way to reveal that Neymar is to wear number 11 next season, blaring the news out over the PA system at the club's superstore.

This means that the Brazilian is set to step into the shoes of Spain under-21 international Thiago Alcantara, who vacated the jersey on leaving to join Pep Guardiola at Bayern.

Despite having been unveiled over a month ago, there had been some uncertainty over which shirt Neymar would wear. The departures of Thiago and David Villa freed up the number 11 and 7 jerseys, both of which the starlet has worn for Brazil, and ultimately he plumped for the former.
