Arsenal fears Real to kick Higuain price higher

ARSENAL fear Real Madrid are trying to jack up the price for Gonzalo Higuain.

The Gunners were convinced they would seal a club-record £23million deal for the Argentina striker, 25, this week.

But Real president Florentino Perez last night said: “We don’t want Higuain to leave and what’s more no one from Arsenal has come to us and made any offers.”

Perez’s comment has stunned Arsenal, who agreed to meet Real’s valuation last week and expected Higuain in London over the weekend for a medical.

The Gunners are still confident of landing their man but are worried Real are about to demand a bigger transfer fee.
