Former boss says Spurs best for Bale

Harry Redknapp believes Gareth Bale won’t join Real Madrid this summer, even though he is the third best player in the world behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Tottenham manager said that Bale, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, is not ambitious enough to leave the Premier League at this stage in his career. Instead, Redknapp thinks the Wales international will stay put for at least one more season.

"Gareth won’t want to leave. He’s not an over-ambitious lad," he told Talksport.

"He wants to be successful obviously but he’s not someone I can see moving to Real Madrid at this stage in his life.
