Barca tries to escape Neymar labyrinth with happy end

21 May 2013 [17:00] - TODAY.AZ
fathe's future is still uncertain. Following the most recent meeting between Raúl Sanllehí and Santos' acting president, Odilio Rodrigues, the Brazilian club's position is clear. It wants to sell the starlet because his contract is up next year, meaning he could leave on a free. However, he won't be cheap.

After Real Madrid's latest bid, thought to be in the region of €100m, all four of Neymar's owners (Santos, Grupo Sonda, Teisa and the footballer's father) are waiting for an improved offer. It has not been ruled out that other clubs might join the fray like Chelsea or PSG, for whom the player's transfer fee would not be a problem.

Real Madrid hasn't ruled out upping its bid, as it believes that Barcelona's offer (€60m) is less than the parties involved will accept and knows that the Catalans' finances won’t stretch any further. Globoesporte even revealed that a delegation from Real had arrived in Brazil to negotiate a deal for the star.

Barça's trump card is what the player himself wants and in that sense, Sandro Rosell is waiting for Neymar to talk publicly. If he confesses that he wants to join Barça, Florentino would be forced to withdraw, out of principle, from the bidding and that would force all parties involved to reach an agreement.
