Ter Stegen shadows Reina and Guaita

Barcelona is working hard to bring in a substitute for goalkeeper Víctor Valdés who has made it clear to the club he wants to leave this summer, and it is the Borussia Mönchengladbach keeper Ter Stegen who has emerged as the front runner ahead of Liverpool’s Pepe Reina and Valencia’s Vicente Guaita. The German keeper could move to the club for just €10 million, a more than reasonable price for the club when taking into consideration the keeper is only 21 years old.

Other options include Reina or Guaita. The Liverpool keeper has always been top of the club’s list of preferences, but some people within the club are not happy about paying for a player who had previously belonged to the club. The coaches’ favourite is Guaita but the player is not keen on moving and the high asking price may stop any approach being made.
