Young Azerbaijani weightlifter wins European gold

Young Azerbaijani weightlifter Nailkhan Nabiyev weighing in at 94kg has won gold medal in the European championship in Lima, Peru, after lifting 205kg in the clean and jerk event.

Other Azerbaijani weightlifters Valentin Hristov climbed on to the winner`s rostrum in the 62 kg class on Monday, Nijat Rahimov weighing in at 77kg won silver on Wednesday, while Firudin Guliyev claimed bronze in the 69kg weight category on Tuesday.
