Speculation surrounding Carlo Ancelotti’s future has not ceased in the past few days. Radio Monte Carlo assures that the Italian has told Paris Saint-Germain’s director of football, Leonardo de Araujo and the club’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he will stay on as the French side’s manager.
Before the game against Valenciennes, according to the above-mentioned radio station, a number of players asked to know what Ancelotti’s future held, amongst them, Thiago Silva, Matuidi, Pastore, Verratti and Sirigu. The Italian manager assured his players that he will sign a new two-year contract with an optional third. He will also receive a pay rise.
Meanwhile, agent Ernesto Bronzetti told Italian TV channel 'Sky Sport' earlier that Carlo Ancelotti does fancy a move to Madrid: "If Mourinho goes to Chelsea, he [Ancelotti] is top of the list to succeed him and he wants to go to Real. Florentino Pérez has tried to sign him twice before, but he is under contract with PSG, who wants to keep him".
