20 makes Azerbaijani taekwondo fighters 1st among 13

Azerbaijani taekwondo fighters have grabbed the largest number of medals as the 5th Alexandria`s International Open Championships wraps up in Egypt.

Azerbaijan`s haul included 20 medals, 5 of them golds.

Gold medals came from Samir Aydinov weighing in at 54kg, Samir Javadli at 58kg, Fariz Aliyev at 68kg and Ramin Azizov at 80kg. Azeri female fighter Farida Azizova also climbed on to the
winner`s rostrum in the 67kg weight category.

The tournament brought together 500 fighters from 13 countries.
