Azerbaijani female wrestlers have claimed a clutch of 5 medals, including 3 golds in the 51st International Tournament in memory of the famed Bulgarian wrestlers Dan Kolov and Nikola Petrov in Plovdiv.
In women`s 51 kg weight category, Azerbaijani wrestler Patimat Bagomedova mounted the highest step on the podium thanks to a win over rivals from Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.
Other gold medals came from Yarina Dubovska weighing in at 55 kg and Irina Netreba at 59 kg.
Azerbaijani wrestlers Alyona Kolesnik and Anna Belyayeva grabbed silver of the tournament.
The tournament, organized by the Bulgarian Wrestling Federation, is one of the European Grand Prix series and stands after the World Championship by its rank, where more than 200 wrestlers from 27 countries were competed.
The best wrestler was awarded with the prize "The Golden Belt - "Dan Kolov and Nikola Petrov".
