Azerbaijani weightlifter claims European crown

European Championship among weightlifters under 20-23 continues in the Israeli town of Eilat.

On Tuesday, a member of the national team of Azerbaijan Firudin Guliyev became European champion in the weight category up to 69 kilograms, Weightlifting Federation of Azerbaijan told Trend.

Also, another Azerbaijani weightlifter Rauf Nabiyev weighing in at 62 kg has lifted a total of 148 kilograms in the clean and jerk event to win bronze medal in the European championship in Eilat, Israel.
