Georgia, Azerbaijan develop bid for hosting Euro 2020

A joint press conference of presidents of Azerbaijani and Georgian football federations will be held in Batumi on Friday.

As President of Fotball Federation of Georgia Zviad Sichinava told Trend, overall training program for Azerbaijan and Georgia on joint bid to host European Football Championship 2020 will be presented at the press conference.

Georgia and Azerbaijan have already sent a bid for joint hosting the Championship.
As Sichinava said, joint Georgian-Azerbaijani commission will be created within a month, which will prepare all questions in preparation for the Championship.

"We have already received the entire list of requirements for hosting the Championship, and this commission will deal with specific questions: which stadiums, hotels and infrastructure will be needed for the championship. We are seriously focused on the struggle for the right to host the European Championship," Sichinava said.
