Azerbaijani wrestlers win seven awards in Turkey

The international youth tournament in wrestling Champions involving Azerbaijani sportsmen has ended in Ankara. Our wrestlers won two awards on the last day of the contests. Classical wrestler Rovshan Tagiyev (60 kg) won silver and freestyle wrestler Orkhan Sharifov (84 kg) won bronze.

In total, our team won seven awards in Ankara including one gold, three silver and three bronze awards. Five awards went to Greco-Roman wrestlers, freestyle wrestlers and women's category won one each taking the third place among teams after Russia and Turkey.

Wrestlers from 11 countries have taken part in the tournament.
