Azeri weight lifter wins bronze in World Champ

Azerbaijani junior weight lifter Nijat Rahimov weighting in at 77 kg has compete in Junior World Championship in Antigua, Guatemala. Rahimov finished first stage in 5th place with a 98kg in snatch.

The first Azerbaijani Olympic champion among the seniors, Nijat Rahimov has competed more successful in Clean & Jerk stile and wrapped up the competition in 3rd place with 185kg and scooped the bronze medal of the tournament.

Sportsman has totally gained 333kg (148+185) and finished the championship on 4th place.
The first Azerbijani athlete who has competed in the championship Firudin Guliyev (69kg) has won the silver medal of the chamionship in Clean & Jerk.
