First football World Cup among servicemen to be held in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan will host the first football World Cup among the military servicemen which will be organized by the International Military Sports Council (CISM) next year, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported. No details have been reported about the World Cup’s schedule.

Four international events of the CISM, including one conference and 3 World Cups have been organized in Azerbaijan by the Defense Ministry since 2004. Azerbaijani servicemen won 67 medals in the World and European championships held within the CISM.
