FIFA returns points to Azerbaijan’s Khazar Lankaran

26 April 2012 [10:46] - TODAY.AZ
“We have applied to the International Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding FIFA’s decision on removal of six points from the score of Khazar Lankaran. The court urged FIFA to reconsider its decision until April 25”, vice president of Khazar Lankaran Tuygun Nadirov told apasport.az.

Nadirov said FIFA restored justice and rescinded the decision on removal of six points from the Khazar’s score. “FIFA Disciplinary Committee investigated the issue and saw that the club paid its debt to Romulo Silvano in time, even three days in advance. Identifying that there is no reason to remove six points from the club’s score, FIFA sent letters to AFFA and club underlining the necessity to restore six points. FIFA changes its decision rarely, but Khazar Lankaran could force it to admit an error. It is a victory of not only lawyers, but all of Khazar’s team and fans. I congratulate those who support the club”.

Khazar Lankarn restored justice, but the club was under the psychological concussion some time and lost some matches, it lost 1:4 to Baku. Nadirov said they urged the players not to think about the FIFA’s decision and play football because the club’s management would address this problem and return six points.
