Azeri women field hockey players defeat Malaysia

Azerbaijan national women`s field hockey team have defeated Malaysia 4-0 in their opening match of the Olympic qualifying tournament in Kakamigahara, Japan. Azerbaijan`s goals came from Khatira Aliyeva (2), Myungson Mammadova and Yuliya Muradi.

In the round`s other games Belarus beat Chile 3-1, while Austria lost to Japan 7-0.
Azerbaijan will next face Belarus on Friday. The top two teams of the tournament will progress to the final of the tournament. The winner of the tournament will earn the right to compete in the 2012 London Olympic Games.
