Azerbaijani wrestlers to struggle for Olympic spots

Azerbaijan`s national wresting team will compete in an Olympic qualifying tournament starting in Taiyuan, China, on Friday. The national squad includes freestylers Yashar Aliyev weighing in at 55 kg, Khetag Gazyumov at 96 kg and Greco-roman wrestlers Rasul Chunayev at 66 kg, Emin Ahmadov at 74 kg, Shalva Gadabadze at 96 kg and Masud Hashimzade at 120 kg.

In the women`s event, Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on Anna Belyayeva weighing in at 63 kg and Natalya Palamarchuk at 72 kg. The medalists of the tournament in each weight category will earn the right to compete in the 2012 London Olympic Games.
