Azeri powerlifters win 4 medals in European championship

Azerbaijani women powerlifter Gunel Talibova has won the WPC European championship, which started on Tuesday in Rostov, Russia.

In men`s event, Asif Beliyev weighting in at 60 kg climbed the highest step of the podium. Hafiz Verdiyev at 100 kg and Rufat Agayev at 125 kg have become European champions. Azerbaijan is represented by 11 sportsmen in the championship.
