Azeri wrestlers secure more Olympic spots

Azerbaijani wrestler Togrul Asgarov weighing in at 60 kg has claimed the gold medal at the European Olympic qualifying tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria.

He secured the medal after beating Bulgarian Anatoliy Guynea. Yesterday Asgarov booked a spot at the 2012 London Olympic Games after qualifying for the Sofia tournament`s final.

Kamran Mammadov has become the 9th Azerbaijani wrestler to qualify for the London Summer Olympic Games. Mammadov secured the spot after reaching the Greco-Roman final of a European qualifying tournament in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia, which he won thanks to a victory over a Finnish opponent.
