Azeri athletes secure two more Olympic berth

Azerbaijani boxer Vatan Huseynli weighing in at 81 kg has secured a spot at the 2012 London Olympic Games after progressing to the final of a European Olympic qualifying tournament in Trabzon, Turkey. He beat British Call Smith in the semifinal.

Azerbaijani wrestler Togrul Asgarov weighing in at 60 kg has booked a spot at the 2012 London Olympic Games after qualifying for the final of the European Olympic qualifying tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria.

On the way to the final, he defeated Belarus Alexander Kontoyev, German Tim Schleicher and Ukrainian Vasily Fedorishin. Asgarov will face Bulgarian Anatoli Guidea in the final.
