Milano Thunder obstacles Baku Fires to reach WSB final

The Serhedchi Olympic sport center held the second leg semifinal match of the World Series of Boxing between Baku Fiers (Azerbaijan) and Milano Thunder (Italy).

In the first match Italians won 5:3. The second leg was incomplete. After the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation did not approve the participation of Olympians Teymur Mammadov and Magomedrasul Majidov in the second leg, Baku Fires could not find a boxer in the category below 85 kg. Thus, the match had no tournament sense.

Only two fights were held as a result. In this fight, the representatives of the Azerbaijani club gained victories: Magomed Gurbanov (54 kg) beat Vyacheslav Goyan and Isa Isayev (61 kg) defeated Juan Xavier Carrasco Herrera.

Thus, it has been the second consecutive year that Baku Fires stopped on the semifinal stage. Last season our team lost to French Paris United.
