Famous football stars back Women's World Cup in Baku - PHOTOS

Famous football stars visited a stand promoting the U-17 Women's World Cup, which will be held in Azerbaijan this year. The World Cup stand at the Soccerex European Forum in Manchester prompted great interest from over 1,500 visitors, AFFA reported.

Current and former players and managers, including Patrick Vieira, Shay Given, Emmanuel Petit, Rafael Benitez and Gaizka Mendieta visited the stand and lent their support to the U-17 Women's World Cup in Azerbaijan.

The coordinator of the Local Steering Committee, Nargiz Mammadova, and chief for volunteering, Vugar Rustamli, informed the forum about the preparations for the world championship. The U-17 Women's World Cup will be held from 22 September to 13 October in Baku and Lankaran.
