Cost of 'Baku's bid for Olympic 2020' propaganda announced

Amount to be spent on promoting Baku's bid for Olympic Games 2020 was already determined, Executive director of Baku-2020 Organizing Group Konul Nurullayeva said $8 million will initially be allocated to this end. If the bid will pass the first phase, then the amount will be increased to $44 million.

The IOC approved Baku’s nomination to host the 2020 Olympic Games.  The national organizing committee was established in Azerbaijan in this regard.

Madrid, Tokyo, Istanbul, as well as Qatar's capital Doha have also been nominated for hosting the Summer Olympics-2020. Their first presentation must be held in February 2012.
