Azeri clubs reach to Challenge Cup semi-final

A return quarterfinal match of Challenge Cup between “Baku” (Azerbaijan) and “Omichka” (Russia) clubs was held. After the defeat away with score 2:3, the Azerbaijani club had to win four sets. The Baku club managed it by winning the sets with a score of 25:22, 25:19, 25:21 and 15:9.

After suffering a defeat last week in Czechia, the Azerbaijani women`s volleyball club Lokomotiv booked today a ticket to the semifinal of the Challenge Cup tournament as they first edged Kralovo Pole 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-15) and then pocketed also the golden set with a terrific 20-18.
