Khazar Lankaran FC captain sets record

21st matchday of the Premier League became notable for Khazar Lankaran FC with repeating of the record. The match against Gabala became the 176th for the captain Rahid Amirguliyev. So, the midfielder became one of the players, who have made the most number of appearances for the club. Till this match Alim Gurbanov had been alone in the first place with 176 matches in all competitions. Rahid reached his experienced teammate, who stayed unused substitute in this match.
 
Midfielder, who joined Khazar Lankaran in summer of 2006, got this record in his 6th season. He took part in Azerbaijan championship and the Cup, also in the Champions League and Europa League (UEFA Cup) qualifications and the Commonwelath Cup. Rahid became the Azerbaijani champion once, three times won the Cup and once the Commonwealth Cup with Khazar Lankaran. He has scored 22 goals up to this day. He had played ten matches this season as a skipper.
 
Meanwhile, that Rahid scored the third goal in the last game of 2011 against Baki, and he has been scoring for three consecutive matches. It also means, that all three last goals of Khazar Lankaran in official matches were scored by the captain.
