AFFA pesents “Volunteering Programme”

Presentation of “Volunteering Programme” of FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 arranged in the office of the US-educated Azerbaijan Alumni Association.

Participants of the event received detailed information on the preparations for FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup that will be held in Azerbaijan between 22 September and 13 October 2012 as well as the volunteering programme and job opportunities. Coordinator of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Nargiz Mammadova and director on Volunteering of LOC Vugar Rustamli said that according to the initial planning, around 1,000 foreign and local volunteers will assist the Local Organising Committee for running the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Azerbaijan 2012. Volunteers are not only responsible for helping matchdays to run smoothly, but are also a part of a warm and friendly atmosphere in and around the stadium.

The volunteering programme is based on various characteristics. The volunteers team will be formed irrespective of age, race, sex, religious views and nationality. For becoming a member of the international volunteer team the main conditions are being 18 years old, having a good command of Azerbaijani and basic knowledge of English.

Each volunteer will have such advantages as: special volunteer uniform; refreshments on days of service; professional trainings organized by FIFA and Local Organising Committee; free access to public transport on days of service; volunteer certificate of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012; participation in various volunteer events; participation in city tours of Azerbaijan and special entertainment events.
