
Security at four Israeli embassies has been increased to the maximum level and they may be closed due to "existing threats" against them, Jerusalem Post newspaper quotes the country’s Foreign Ministry, as reporting.
The ministry did not specify which embassies it was referring to.
As the Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan, Michael Lavon Lotem told Trend, the embassy works in normal regime. On Tuesday the embassy resumed its activity, suspended for technical reasons the day before.
The Israeli Counter-Terrorism Bureau included Azerbaijan in a list of countries with a high probability of attacks on Israelis. The list was published on Friday in connection with the third anniversary of Hezbollah leader Imad Mughniyeh's death.Besides Azerbaijan, the list includes Armenia, Georgia, Turkey, Venezuela, Egypt, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali and Mauritania.
