"Dead body of Azerbaijani citizen died in St. Petersburg to be delivered to home tomorrow"

Dead body of Azerbaijani citizen Javid Sultanli, who died as a result of break of a hot water supply pipe in St. Petersburg, will be delivered to the country on Wednesday, Azerbaijan's Consul General in St. Petersburg Gudsi Osmanov told Trend today.

Sultanli, a four-year student at the Smolny Institute, has fallen into a trench with hot water when the hot water supply pipe broke on Jan. 24, after which he underwent two-week treatment at the Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg.

Azerbaijani Consulate General, as well as the Smolny Institute's leadership provided full support for his treatment, repeatedly visited him in the hospital, doctors operated him twice, but he died from heart failure Monday night, Osmanov said.

According to Osmanov, today the Smolny Institute will hold a ceremony commemorating   Sultanli.

An accident on a heating main "Polyustrovsky" with diameter 1,000 mm took place during afternoon on Jan. 24, 2011. As a result of the pipe break boiling water spilt on the ground surface. Some 140 people, including 34 children were evacuated from the Smolny Institute and a kindergarten located near the accident place, "Heating System of Petersburg" company's press service reported earlier.
